Leanne Hirsh, Co-Founder and Creator of Perfumera Curandera (a natural perfumer), will guide you in an incense making workshop. Incense has a powerful therapeutic value. It can be used aroma-therapeutically to relax the body and calm the mind. It helps nourish and stabilize the psycho-somatic composition of the human being. The aroma of incense stimulates the senses to unlock the energy channels, mobilize vital air, and release internal bliss.

To begin, we will talk about incense and its various forms and uses, while sampling our raw materials. We will then choose from resins, sacred woods and flowers locally gathered from Upstate NY and from travels to other wild places such as Mongolia, Morrocco and Peru.

A selection of aromatherapeutic and essential oils and aromatic waters will then be chosen to add into their own personalized  incense blend.

Then we will make the incense by hand into various shapes and forms.

In this intimate 2 hour workshop we will be exploring and working with exotic raw materials and essential oils to create handmade incense. We will be outdoors under an airy tent on the lawn. Herbal Iced Teas will be on hand as we delve into the mystical and wonderful realms of scented smoke offerings

$85/pp. Please note that workshop size is limited to ensure an exceptional experience. Advance ticket purchase recommended; tickets will be available onsite on a first-come, first-serve basis to fill any remaining spots.

Macramé plant hangers are a wonderful way to enhance your approach to interior design by incorporating a neutral yet textural accent piece. Your choice in foliage to incorporate into this element of design may result in an effect that ranges from subtle to lush and vibrant.
We will begin the workshop with a general introduction to macramé and I will teach you the knot you will use to make your plant hanger. We will also briefly discuss environmental elements you should be aware of when selecting the ideal window placement and inhabitant of your plant hanger. I will walk you through the first steps of the creative process and then you will have time to work on your own piece bringing unique perspective to the process. You will leave with a complete macramé plant hanger to brighten your home.
