GUEST SERVICES AGENT - FULL TIME

Job Title: Guest Services Agent - Full Time | On-site

Job Description: The On-site Guest Services Agent will make guests feel at home and guarantee their contentment. They will furnish clients with impeccable service to ensure a memorable and restful experience.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be punctual, reliable, independent, calmly, effectively and with good temperament; and be able to report to work unexpectedly as circumstances may require. While hotel experience is a definite plus and the ability to provide great customer service to both guests and team-members is a must; the general attitude of the person, their positive energy, patience, capability to lead, teach and learn, reliability, ability to remain calm, their flexibility and grace under pressure are the attributes that are more important to Hasbrouck House & Butterfield ownership.

Job Type: Full time | Weekends Required + Additional Weekly Hours

Main Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Provides high level of customer service to all guests at all times while working the front desk.

  • Acts as a team player at all times and able to multi-task and maintain a high level of detail in all tasks.

  • Make guest reservations, answer inquiries regarding rates and availability.

  • Be concierge for guests with a thorough knowledge of the surrounding areas and events happening on a weekly basis.

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the room locations, types of rooms, room operations, package plans, promotions, hotel facilities.

  • Performs daily operations duties including but not limited to pool maintenance, property rounds, changing lightbulbs when needed, etc.

  • Maintains a detailed knowledge about the hotel's spa services, onsite restaurants and hours of operations.

  • Check guests in and out, including preparation of guest bills and authorizing payments.

  • Dealing efficiently with day to day billing and guest service queries.

  • Be flexible at all times in order to cover the unexpected needs of the hotel.

  • Knows all safety and understands emergency procedures and how to act upon them. Understands accident prevention policies.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years hospitality or hotel experience.

HOUSEKEEPER - PART-TIME (MULTIPLE POSITIONS OPEN)

Job Title: Housekeeper - Part-Time | On-site

Job Description: Hasbrouck House is looking for multiple part-time, experienced Housekeepers, who will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining our guest suites and common areas, working closely with other Housekeeping staff, and our amazing Guest Service Team. This is a job for a reliable, loyal and hardworking team member that would like to work in a serene setting in the beautiful Hudson Valley!

Start Date: Immediately

Job Type: Part-time

Main Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms quickly and thoroughly.

  • Replenishment of guest amenities and supplies in rooms.

  • Strip all beds and replace dirty linens and towels with clean ones.

  • Clean and sanitize hotel restaurant as well as all public restrooms, common rooms, highly trafficked areas and touch points.

  • Remove all trash, food, and beverages from vacant rooms.

  • Verify all appliances are in working order and if not, report problem to management.

  • Ensure you are cleaning and tidying all rooms in a timely manner. Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.

  • Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.

  • Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway).

  • Take inventory of all soft goods and report damage to any linens or room items to management.

Additional Requirements:

  • Be physically strong and able - this is a physically demanding job! Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs of weight and climb up and down multiple flights of stairs.

  • Able to continuously stand or walk

  • Able to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently

  • Have strong English communication skills

  • Professional, both in appearance and demeanor

  • Strong communicator

  • Able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather

  • Detail oriented

  • Consistently punctual

  • Team player and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right.
